I painted this portrait of a little girl named Meagen when she was 4 years old. Her mother contacted me after reading an article about my art in the newspaper. After the painting was completed a company I was working with at the time made it into limited edition prints on canvas. They sold very well. I believe its popularity was because so many people connected to the sweet innocence of my subject.

Twelve years later Meagen's parents contacted me to paint their daughter again. It was so much fun to see what a lovely young lady she had grown into. In the painting Meagen I think I've succeeded in capturing her sweetness and natural beauty.
