My husband comes from a family of 13 kids. He tells the story of being impressed at how rich the neighbors where because they had a new car. When discussing it at the dinner table his father told him his family was rich in kids. Not too long after that I came across an English proverb “Children Are Poor Men's Riches.” The two thoughts merged into this illustration.
