I drew this illustration for note cards as a gift to Oprah Winfrey for having me as a guest on her show.  In the illustration Maya Angelou is holding a bouquet of red lilies.  In the Victorian era their meaning was one who is "high souled."  I've often thought that it's no accident that the word "angel" is part of her last name.
